Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sliced peaches
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Spread peaches in a 9-inch square baking pan. Combine margarine, milk, flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl.
    Mix well. Spoon evenly over peaches.
    Mix 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water.
    Pour over top of batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
