Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
7 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. water
3 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. lemon rind
1/3 c. lemon juice
Preparation

Cook sugar, cornstarch, salt and water for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
Stir constantly.
Add beaten egg yolks to a little hot mixture, then add to the rest of the hot mixture.
Cook 2 minutes.
To this mixture, add butter, lemon rind and lemon juice. Pour in baked pie shell.
