7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce
    1/2 c. celery chopped
    1/2 c. pepper, cut into rings
    1/2 c. onions, cut into rings
    1 1/2 small pkg. frozen peas, cooked very slightly
    2 cans sliced water chestnuts
    1/4 inch thin mayonnaise over top
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    6 slices bacon
Preparation
    Layer the first 7 ingredients with mayonnaise on top. Sprinkle the top with shredded cheese and crispy fried bacon, broken into pieces.
    Let set at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before serving.
