Lasagna Baked By Mom - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. whole basil
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    6 to 8 strips lasagna noodles
    3 c. cottage cheese
    1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat slowly; spoon off excess fat.
    Add next 5 ingredients (following down from ground meat).
    Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cook noodles in large amount of boiling salted water until tender.
    Drain and rinse.
    In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients except Mozzarella cheese.
    Place half the noodles in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spread with half the cottage cheese filling; add half the Mozzarella cheese and half the meat sauce.
    Repeat the layers. Bake at 375\u00b0 for approximately 30 minutes.
    Let cool 10 minutes. Serves 12.
