Christmas Pear Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can Bartlett pear halves
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 to 2 Tbsp. cream or evaporated milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    red and green food coloring
    green and red cherries and lettuce leaves (for garnish, optional)
Preparation
    Divide pears into 2 glass bowls with juice.
    In one bowl, sprinkle green food coloring and in the other use the red.
    Stir gently to mix the coloring with the pears.
    Set aside.
