Corn Meal Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
6 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. corn meal
1/4 tsp. soda
1 c. sour cream
6 egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add vanilla and salt.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour, meal and soda 3 times.
Add alternately with sour cream.
Add salt to egg whites.
Beat until stiff.
Fold into cake mixture.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0
for 1 hour.
