Mother'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. melted shortening
1 c. molasses
1 c. brown sugar
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. boiling water
2 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Mix shortening, molasses and brown sugar.
Add sifted dry ingredients; mix well and stir in boiling water.
Fold in beaten eggs.
Pour into greased pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream or hot applesauce flavored with cinnamon.
