Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. quick cooking oats
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugar and brown sugar.
    Add eggs, then vanilla.
    Mix oatmeal with boiling water and let set until water is absorbed.
    Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Add oatmeal to creamed mixture and then add dry ingredients.
    Bake in large loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
