Green Tomato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green tomatoes, sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
    3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Butter casserole dish.
    Lay 1/3 of tomatoes on bottom.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and 1/4 cup cheese.
    Repeat with remaining tomatoes.
    Top with 1/2 cup cheese and dot with butter.
    Bake covered 40 to 60 minutes.
