Corn Maque Chou - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 ears tender, fresh corn
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 small fresh tomato
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. corn oil
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cut kernels off and scrape all juice off of cob.
    On low fire, heat oil.
    Add onion and bell pepper; saute until tender.
    Add corn and tomato.
    Season to taste.
    Cook on medium-low heat for 1 1/2 hours, being careful not to scorch.
    Add very little water, if needed.
    When corn is almost cooked, add milk and cook down to desired thickness.
