Shake Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 qt. sliced cucumbers
1 qt. sliced onions
4 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. salt
1 1/3 Tbsp. celery seed
1 1/3 Tbsp. turmeric
1 1/3 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Pack cucumbers and onions in clear jars.
Heat sugar, vinegar, salt and seasonings over low heat until melted, but do not boil. Pour over cucumbers and seal.
After jars cool, place in refrigerator and shake every morning for two weeks.
