Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
dash of salt
1/2 c. Crisco or Wesson oil
1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Beat eggs well.
Add vanilla and gradually add sugar.
Combine the salt, baking powder and flour together.
Add oil and flour mixture alternately into the eggs.
Blend well.
Place more than half of batter into 9-inch square, greased and floured cake pan. Add sliced apples over the batter.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, then pour the rest of the batter over the apples.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar.
