Turtle Fudge("Dauntless Dottie" 2, 2:04 In 1988)) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 (5 fl. oz.) can evaporated milk (Carnation)
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    30 vanilla-flavored caramels, quartered
    1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
    1 c. pecan halves, broken
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar (white granulated), margarine, Carnation canned milk in a 2 1/2 to 3-quart heavy saucepan.
    Bring to full boil. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until 234\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat.
    Add caramels (first) and chocolate pieces (not imitation chocolate); stir until chocolate is almost melted and caramels are soft.
    Stir in marshmallow cream, the pecans and the vanilla.
    Beat until well mixed (by hand) and until chocolate is melted completely.
    Immediately pour fudge into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Score fudge while warm; cut into pieces when cool and firm.
    Chill in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour and then leave at room temperature.
