Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    2/3 c. white Karo syrup
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Cook to 300 degrees.
    DO NOT STIR!
    Add:
    1/2 t. oil, flavoring and food coloring as desired.
    Quickly stir until well mixed.
    Pour on buttered pan.
    Crack with hammer.
    May roll in powdered sugar if desired.
