Fried Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage
    2 Tbsp. bacon grease or margarine
    salt to taste
    1/4 c. water (optional)
Preparation
    Chop up 1/2 head of cabbage very fine.
    In a skillet or stew pan place either 2 tablespoons bacon grease or margarine and heat. Add chopped cabbage and salt to taste.
    Cover and simmer until tender.
    If store bought cabbage is used, add 1/4 cup water.
    If cabbage is homegrown, water will not be needed.
