Love Knots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 egg yolks
    4 whole eggs
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. cream
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix dough; let stand about 2 minutes.
    Beat dough with rolling pin for 2 minutes.
    Separate dough into small amounts and roll very thin.
    Cut into strips 1 x 4-inches; slash about 1-inch through center.
    Turn one end through, making love knot.
    Fry in deep fat and drain on absorbent paper.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
