Old-Fashioned Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    sugar for dipping
Preparation
    In a bowl, cream margarine and sugar.
    Add egg and molasses; beat well by hand.
    Stir dry ingredients together; mix into creamed mixture.
    Chill dough; then roll into walnut-size balls and dip in sugar.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until set and surface cracks.
    Cool on wire racks.
    Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
