Oglethorpe Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. corn meal
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1 c. whole kernel corn
2 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1 large onion, chopped
1 c. water ground cornmeal
water
salt
fat drippings
Preparation

Stove Top Instructions:
Premelt fat drippings in skillet, just enough to cover bottom good.
A seasoned cast-iron skillet works best.
