Coffee Toffee Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. light cream
1 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. double-strength coffee
1 dash salt
4 tsp. vanilla
walnut halves
Preparation

Combine
granulated
sugar and packed brown sugar, corn syrup, light
cream,
butter, milk, coffee and salt in a large heavy saucepan.
Cook
over
moderate
heat,
stirring often, until sugars
dissolve
and butter melts.
Lower heat.
Cook, stirring occasionally,
until
candy
reaches 240\u00b0 on a candy thermometer. Continue cooking, stirring constantly so mixture doesn't burn, until candy reaches 246\u00b0 (a bit dropped in cold water will
form a firm ball).
Remove from heat immediately; let stand 2 minutes. Stir in vanilla.
