Italian Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. long grain rice
    1/2 c. water
    dash of salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine milk, sugar, rice, water and salt in heavy 4-quart saucepan.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 50 to 60 minutes, until rice is tender and desired consistency is reached.
    Stir frequently during cooking.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in eggs and vanilla.
    Pour into 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    May be served warm or chilled with milk or whipped cream.
    Makes 6 servings.
