Cocoa Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix well shortening, sugar and egg.
    Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
    Sift together dry ingredients and stir in.
    Spread in greased oblong pan 13 x 9 x 2-inch.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    When cool, frost with butter frosting.
    Cut into squares.
