Southern Fried Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 ears corn
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. water
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c. bacon fat
1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Shuck corn.
Wash and remove silk.
After cutting the kernels in half with a sharp knife, cut kernels off cob.
Scrape juice out of corn cob into the bowl of corn.
Pour bacon fat into a frying pan and heat.
Add corn, stirring in flour, sugar and water.
Let simmer at medium heat until kernels are tender.
Raise heat, stirring at intervals, until brown.
Scrape brown mixture sticking to pan into kernels.
Add salt and pepper.
If necessary, add a little water.
Mixture should be moist.
