Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    6 medium size green tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Stir well.
    Dredge tomatoes in cornmeal mixture.
    Heat oil in a large skillet to 375\u00b0.
    Add tomatoes and fry until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels.
