Potato Planks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium potatoes
    vegetable oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar (optional)
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Set oven control
    to broil.
    Cut each potato lengthwise into eights.
    Place
    potatoes,
    cut
    sides
    down, in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch; brush with oil.
    Mix remaining ingredients;
    sprinkle
    potatoes
    with
    half
    of the mixture. Broil potatoes
    with
    tops\tabout 3-inches from heat until potatoes begin
    to\tbubbly\tslightly,
    about 10 minutes. Turn; brush with oil and sprinkle with remaining salt mixture. Broil until golden
    brown
    and tender, about 5 minutes longer. Sprinkle with snipped parsley or Parmesan cheese, if desired.
