Great Aunt Helen'S Cornmeal Mush - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cold water
1 c. corn meal
3 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix cold water and corn meal.
Stir in boiling water and salt. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Cover, continue cooking over low heat for 10 minutes.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Chill until firm (overnight is best).
Slice and fry crisp.
Serve hot with syrup or try a tablespoon of sugar dripped with creamed coffee.
