Old Fashioned Pan Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    6 c. all-purpose flour (approximately)
    2 c. water
    butter or margarine
    1 egg
    salad oil
Preparation
    Early in the day or up to 1 week ahead, in a large bowl combine sugar, salt,
    yeast
    and
    2
    1/4
    cups of flour.
    In a 1-quart saucepan,
    over
    low
    heat,
    heat water and 1/2 cup of butter until very
    warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0, butter does not need to melt).
