Cheese Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 or 8 potatoes
    1/2 c. finely chopped bell pepper
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion (optional)
    3/4 c. bacon bits
    12 oz. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. garlic powder (more or less according to taste)
Preparation
    Peel and mash potatoes or mash with fork and leave partially chunked.
    Add rest of ingredients, except cheese.
    Put in baking dish; sprinkle with cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
