Caramel Popcorn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
    6 qt. popped popcorn
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    unsalted peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Spread popcorn out on cookie sheet.
    Cool. Bring butter, sugar, salt and syrup to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil 5 minutes without stirring.
    Remove from heat; stir in soda and vanilla.
    Gradually pour over popcorn; mix well.
    Stir in peanuts if desired.
    Bake 1 hour at 250\u00b0.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
