Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head shredded lettuce
    1 large thinly sliced red onion
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 large grated carrot
    1 pkg. frozen uncooked green peas
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. mayonnaise
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 slices fried, crumbled bacon
Preparation
    Shred lettuce in large bowl.
    Add remaining ingredients in order given.
    Cover.
    Refrigerate 8 to 24 hours.
    Do not stir!
