Chicken Cacciatore(To Be Served Over Medium-Size Spaghetti) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 green pepper, cut in strips
    1 small onion, cut up
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
    1 small can mushrooms (button)
    1 lb. boneless chicken breasts (without skin), cut in strips
    1 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. red wine
    1/4 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Heat oil; add pepper, onion, garlic and mushrooms and saute until tender.
    Remove vegetables and saute chicken strips until they are tender and begin to brown.
    Add the wine and broth, tomatoes and spices.
    Simmer until thick.
    Serve over pasta.
