Italian Creme Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
2 c. coconut
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. pecans
Preparation

Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco.
Add egg yolks and vanilla. Add soda to buttermilk and add to creamed mixture.
Add flour. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, nuts and coconut.
Makes three 9-inch layers.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
