Gingerbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    3/8 c. dark corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 1/4 Tbsp. ginger
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    8 c. flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, cinnamon, cloves and ginger in a saucepan.
    Place over moderate heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Remove from heat; add margarine and stir until cool. Dissolve baking soda in 1 tablespoon water and add to mixture.
    Add flour gradually and work until dough is firm.
    Form cookies using a mold or roll and use cookie cutters. Bake on a cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
