Mrs. T'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    4 to 5 cloves garlic, split
    1 to 2 onions, thinly sliced
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground spicy sausage
    2 small cans tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 c. fresh peeled tomatoes
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    salt, pepper, oregano, basil, allspice, thyme, chopped parsley and mace to taste
    water and/or tomato sauce (to thin)
Preparation
    Put garlic, onions and green pepper in olive oil in large skillet.
    Cook onions until golden.
    Add and cook meat.
    Skim off fat.
    Then cook tomatoes.
    Add paste, sugar and spices.
    Use water or tomato sauce to thin.
    Let sauce mellow for at least a day before serving over spaghetti.
