Stewed Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. minced onion (1/2 oz.)
    1 tsp. butter (unsalted)
    1/2 c. tomatoes, canned and unsalted
    4 tsp. low sodium bread crumbs
    1 tsp. browned unsalted butter
    bit of bay leaf
    bit of pepper
    1/3 tsp. sage
    1/2 clove
Preparation
    Chop onion fine.
    Cook in butter until slightly browned.
    Add tomatoes, bay leaf, pepper, sugar and clove.
    Cover and cook 10 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf and clove.
    Toss bread crumbs in browned butter.
    Add to tomatoes; mix well.
