Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 small pkg. Bisquick pancake mix or 1 1/3 c.
Preparation
    Beat egg; mix in other ingredients using a spoon; mix until smooth.
    Heat about 1/2 inch oil or shortening in a skillet. Holding your finger over the end of a funnel, fill funnel with 1/4 cup batter.
    Remove finger and move to make an open lacy pattern. Fry until golden brown, turning once.
    Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.
    Yields 5 large cakes.
