Malcamation Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
8 egg whites, stiffly beaten
2 tsp. soda
4 c. flour
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 pt. jelly (blackberry is good)

Preparation

Mix ingredients; fold in egg whites.
Bake in slow oven about 250\u00b0.
