Sunset'S Christmas Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mixed candied fruit
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. dried apricots
    1/4 c. honey
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. mace
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. red candy cherries
    1/2 c. dried figs
    1/2 c. orange juice
    6 Tbsp. orange liqueur, divided
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a
    large
    bowl,
    combine fruits, nuts, orange juice, honey, 2\ttablespoons
    orange
    liqueur and spices; set aside. With electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until well blended; then
    beat
    in
    eggs,
    one at a time.
    Stir together flour
    and soda.
    Stir
    flour mixture into creamed mixture by hand.
    Add fruit
    mixture
    and
    stir
    until well distributed. Evenly
    spoon batter
    into
    2 well greased 4 1/2 x 8 1/2-inch loaf pans.\tBake at\t300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 35 minutes.
    Cool in pan
    for
    10 minutes,
    remove from pans then cool completely. Wrap cakes in double thickness of cheesecloth saturated with 2 tablespoons orange
    liqueur.
    Overwrap\tin
    foil.
    Store
    in refrigerator for 2 weeks before sampling.
