Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. tender yellow squash, thinly sliced
    2 medium onions, sliced
    2 green sweet peppers, slivered
    1/2 c. coarse salt
    3 c. sugar
    5 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Bring ingredients to a boil.
    Place in clean, hot jars and seal.
    Makes 6 pints.
