No Fail Kim-Chee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head Chinese cabbage (2 to 3 lb.)
    1/2 c. salt
    1/4 c. salt
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 stalks green onion, sliced
    1/3 c. crushed red pepper
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 carrot, shredded
    1 tsp. fish salt
    dash of Accent
    dash of sesame oil
Preparation
    In a large bowl, dissolve 1/2 cup salt in 1 gallon of water; mix well. Add cut up cabbage (1-inch length). Soak in salted water; sprinkle rest of the salt on top. Let it wilt about 2 hours, turning occasionally. Wash; drain well.
