Grandma'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 c. self-rising flour (unsifted)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar and butter to cream.
Add eggs; mix thoroughly. Stir in flour.
Add flavoring.
Refrigerate.
Roll out on floured wax paper very thin.
Cut with cookie cutter; bake for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Watch closely, as they burn easily.
(Can be dropped from spoonfuls without refrigerating.)
Cookies are best when wrapped in \"flour sack\" (cotton cloth) and allowed to mellow for several days.
