Refrigerated Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced cucumbers
3 qt. sliced onions
4 c. sugar
1/4 c. salt
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
4 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation

In a large kettle, mix the sugar, vinegar, salt, turmeric and mustard seed. Stir often. Bring to a boil. Fill jars with cucumber-onion mix.
Toss this in bowl beforehand.
After in jars, put in boiling mixture. When cool, put on lids and refrigerate. This can be kept for months in refrigerator.
Let stand 3 days before eating.
