Sausage Cheese Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. quick grits
    1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) sharp cheese
    1/2 stick butter
    6 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    1 lb. sausage, browned and drained
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 3-quart baking dish.
    Bring water to boil.
    Stir in grits.
    Reduce heat; cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
    Stir in 1 cup cheese and butter until melted. Add eggs, milk and sausage; blend well.
    Pour into prepared dish; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake for 1 hour.
    Cool 10 minutes before serving.
