Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine or butter, softened
    3 Tbsp. cream or milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    In large bowl combine first 5 ingredients; blend well.
    Stir in remaining ingredients; blend well.
    Chill dough for easier handling.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Roll dough 1/3 at a time on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness.
    Cut with floured cookie cutter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    If you want to, sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until edges turn light brown.
    Immediately remove.
    Makes 60 to 72 cookies.
