Ingredients

1 qt. large firm strawberries
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. granulated sugar
1 baked pie crust
2/3 c. whipped cream
Preparation

Wash and hull berries.
Mix 1/2 of them with cornstarch and water.
Crush.
Add lemon juice, salt and sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
Cool.
Pour remaining berries into crust.
Cover with cooked mixture.
Cool.
Spread whipped cream on top.
Enjoy!
