Chinese Mushroom Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sirloin or round steak, cut in 1-inch strips
    3 Tbsp. oil
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. water
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 c. catsup
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 c. onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, sliced into thin rings
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil; push steak to one side.
    Blend flour into remaining fat.
    Gradually stir in remaining ingredients, except green pepper and mushrooms. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
    Add green pepper and mushrooms; cook 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
    Serves 4 to 6.
