Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 vanilla bean
    3 c. vodka
    6 Tbsp. instant coffee (freeze dried) or 3 Tbsp. granulated coffee
Preparation
    Boil sugar, 1 1/2 cups water and vanilla bean for 30 minutes (gentle boil).
    Dissolve coffee in 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Shake sugar syrup and coffee in bottle.
    Add vodka; let stand 2 weeks in covered bottle.
    Remove vanilla bean.
    Store in tightly covered glass container.
