Chess Pie(Recipe Of Mrs. R. H. Ward, A Past President) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. meal
    1 1/4 c. milk or 1/2 cream
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar, spices, beaten eggs and meal.
    Add milk last.
    Pour in unbaked pie shell.
    Cook slowly for 50 minutes, until mixture thickens.
    Use whites of eggs for meringue.
