Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 unbaked pie shells
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    2 beaten eggs
    2 c. regular King syrup
    1 1/2 c. hot water from sink
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and shortening like pie dough crumbs.
    Take out 2 cups of crumbs for top of pies.
    To remainder of crumbs in bowl, add eggs, molasses and water.
    Dissolve soda in 1/2 cup of hot water and add to other liquid mixture.
    Divide liquid in unbaked pie shells.
    Put crumbs on top and bake 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Reduce to 375\u00b0 and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 2 pies.
