Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. chicken broth
    6 c. cubed chicken
    2 c. corn
    2 c. green peas
    2 c. diced carrots
    3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    salt and white pepper
    flour
    water
    pastry
    melted butter
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients in large saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
    Stir to prevent sticking.
    Prepare thickening by adding just enough water to make a smooth, thick paste.
    Slowly add to chicken mixture, stirring often.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Add eggs last.
    Put in large baking dish and cover with pastry 1/3-inch thick.
    Press pastry against sides of dish.
    Cut several slits in top.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until brown.
    Brush with melted butter.
