Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. lentil beans
    6 oz. rice
    1 lb. soup bones or meat
    2 onions, chopped
    1 tomato, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    2 to 3 green onions, chopped
    cabbage, carrots and any other vegetables you may want to add
    1 Tbsp. butter
    croutons
Preparation
    In a large pot, put all the ingredients with enough water to cover.
    Let it boil until tender.
    Put mixture through a sieve and then return to pot.
    Heat; add
    1 tablespoon of butter.
    Put in soup bowls and add croutons on top.
